  • 20:37:34: Well, that's weird. Lexi and Bergy don't seem to mind me shaving them (at least not much). 1/3 of their coat is shaved now ...

Pardon the dumb question, but... how come you had to shave them? Mattted/excessively soiled coats? Or did they encounter a nasty flea colony? =/

Well, Bergy gets mats a lot, even though I brush him every day (because his hair is so fine), and during the summer, they both shed to a crazy level. Even if I clean the house every day, I have cat fur tumbleweeds and it makes my house look like crap (plus aggravates my allergies).

Plus it's getting warmer and it'll help them stay cool. I'm already noticing a difference; Bergy usually hides and sleeps all day to stay cool, but now he's up and energetic! ~80

Ah yeah, that makes sense, since they're both so long-haired. 0_0 Perfect for the winter, but summer, not so much. XD; My family had short-haired cats that got filthy and matted coats, but that was because they had this thing about rolling around in the dirt in the backyard garden. =P

Careful now... I remember what a bad boy Bergy tends to be when he's all energetic. >:3
