Oh, this is lovely! I'm so with Severus when it comes to my partner is ill or overextending himself. My first reaction is invariably anger.

Therefore the second to last paragraph is absolutely perfect to my mind.

Also, alisanne is right, you're great with this pairing and should write more stories featuring them. She's also how I discovered this story.

Severus scoffed, then looked at Harry, his despair apparent. "I could have lost you."

That was so touching. Poor Severus.
