Inspiration from LJ friends:

I have a digital camera. I have a (very, very slow) internet connection. I have LJ friends who post pictures all the time. I have these things, but I rarely take pictures, and I don't update my blog(s) often. I seriously need to update my blogs on a regular basis instead of once in a while. Not bad. Some of the blur is from the focal length of the lens, but still pretty nice in general. You might want to think about something like Flickr if you're going to get serious about photos. It's a nice way to post and get comments and notes.

I absolutely love my camera. I bought it when it was on close-out, so I saved $80. The camera was still $220 before tax, so I still spent a fair amount. I know you know this, but with cameras, you pay for features first and then megapixel rating next. I would say I am only using about 10% of the camera's features. With this camera, I can get about 1" away from the subject if I am in "close-up" mode. It is pretty sweet.

Re: Flickr: I hear people going nuts on how much they love it. Right now I belong to photobucket, and I am in the process of moving those pictures from there to Google Picasa. I guess I just need a place to store the images, and do some very basic photo editing. I don't know, should I forgo both and go to flickr?
