Cats are lovely people. I don't let mine sleep with me, though, since I'm mildly allergic and they always want to sleep on my face. "What do you mean you can't breath? Why would you want to breath when you could have me on your face instead? Purr purr purr." :D
If you want to find it, it's Adams Avenue Books, and they're at the corner of 35th and Adams, about midway between the Adams Avenue offramp from the 805 and the Adams Avenue offramp from the 15 (in each case, the first offramp south of the 8).
I'm going to try to remember that, though who knows when I'll be down there next. ConDor seems to have turned into a media con, alas, so I doubt I'l be back for that.
I'd totally go for one here. That would be so relaxing, wouldn't it? Whenever I'm having a stressful day, I lay down with one of my cats. They all have different ways of showing love.
I've been to cat cafes in Japan (a few, in fact) and Hong Kong. There's already at least one in London, and I think others elsewhere in the UK. The cat cafe I know in London is very in demand so you have to reserve weeks or months in advance (though sometimes they have cancellations and you can luck out).
I like the many-kitty experience, and I especially like being able to cuddle up to breeds like Norwegian forest cats (HUGE kitties!) because we're not sure it'd be fair to keep one in our little flat really.
We've become somewhat obsessed in this house, to the point of having a name picked if we can somehow manage to have one. They're very handsome cats indeed.

(I first fell in love with them via Haruki, of cat cafe Nekorobi in Tokyo. Pic here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152847690760485 and I took a bunch of photos of the other kitties around the same time.)
