Over here, Gillian Polack is celebrating the Australian Women's History month. When she mentioned wanting to look at fandom, in particular women in fandom, and the influence they had . . . well, I typed up some old memories, which got me going on a side topic. Yesterday I drove down for the day to ConDor in San Diego.

That really threw me until I remembered you're not in the Bay Area. :-) (From here, it takes almost the entire day to get to San Diego.)

For me, one of the delights of a con is meeting new writers -- whether they're new to me or new to everyone -- and exploring their work.

Yes! And meeting up with old friends--I got a tete-a-tete with Cindy Pon, and got to see queenoftheskies and Sam Henderson and many others.
