Hornblower community?

You know it just came to me last night as I was going to bed that I haven't seen a Hornblower centered community. Sure, there is writing comms like hh_slash and character centered liked ltbush but nothing that encompasses everything like perfect_duet does for the Aubreyad fandom. Well none that I am aware of, anyway

I thought perfect_duet was more about the Aubrey/Maturin (as opposed to hms_surprise, which I was given to believe covered the entire Aubreyad), but agreed, it'd be nice to have a pairing-neutral (i.e. H/K and H/B playing along) generic Hornblower fandom comm. We're a small enough fandom as it is.

eta: if the naming of the comm were up to me (and the name were free) I'd call it admirable, after Churchill's famous review of one of the HH books.

True, but I think since the Aubreyad is basically all about Jack and Stephen it seems to me that it is the major comm. It is more active, anyway. =)

There is an old comm called mr_hornblower that was set up for anything related to the fandom, but it was/is/has been not very active. Certainly not as active as the hms_surprise community.

I'm new around these parts but, I think a generic community would be a great idea. Most of the communities I've come across are somewhat moribund. I've been posting to hh_slash and crumpeteers with little response. Although of course it may be what I'm posting rather than the communities! :} Anything that draws people together sound good to me though.

Can't suggest a name off the top of my head but if anything comes to me I'll let you know

Actually I need help with quotes. Memorable quotes that really define the fandom. I haven't watched the series or read the books recently, and my brain has basically turned into mush. =)
