1.) It is effing COLD today. I know a lot of you are probably stuck in the big snowstorms, and I feel for you. But IT IS SO EFFING COLD HERE! So cold that I needed to capitalize. So cold that this morning walking to the Metro I thought my face was going to fall off. I really need to go grocery shopping, but I don't wanna because it is SO EFFING

I heard on the news this morning that today was going to be the coldest day of 2008 thus far in DC. I hope your face did not freeze off. It's colder here, but I am fortunate to be able to hop in my warm car to get to work. I don't have to walk to and from the metro.

It did not freeze off. BUT, last night I went grocery shopping, because I had put it off for so long, it became absolutely necessary, and it was SO cold and SO windy and I was just saying, "fuck..FUCK!" getting out of my car and into the store and putting groceries in my car and all that. BRR!

HOW DID YOU GET INSIDE MY HEAD AND DISCOVER MY UNDYING DEVOTION TO MALCOLM GETS?!?!?! I LOVE HIM WITH ALL MY HEARTS!!! (I rented the SatC movie for $5 just because I couldn't go without seeing him in it.)

See, about a month ago I mainlined the entirety of "Caroline in the City," and thus my love for Malcolm Gets was rekindled. I LOVE HIM. I have a bunch of his songs off iTunes, and the "Merrily We Roll Along" soundtrack he did. And I am, just, I love him. I LOVE HIM.

It's a true travesty that there are only, like, 3 videos of him on YouTube that aren't from CitC. I want more of him, all the time. I got way too involved in his life, when I was first realizing I love him, and I was like, "Aw, after CitC I hope he didn't fall off the face of the earth!" and then I found out he was nominated for a Tony last year and I got way proud of him. Like, creepily so. He's in some 2-man show right now that looks awesome, so. Yeah.

Anyway. I love Malcolm Gets, every day, all the time. HERE HE IS IN MY ICON. Yeah.

For the record, I was trying to do a quick flist check, quick scrolls and everything, and was immediately caught by the still frame from the YouTube embed, which I knew was Malcolm Gets from the Gay Caveman Song before I even had stopped to see who'd posted or what it was about. So.

Also, like, the only other M.Gets vid on YouTube is MadLibs, which is pretty funny. He does some pelvic thrusts that I adore, and he's got a broken hand. I don't know. I'm pretty weird.

1.) I'm glad I could spread a little M.Gets love. I don't know why I decided to watch CitC last month, other than that I was talking about it with kelbelle (who is a CitC fangirl from way back in the day), but I'm so glad I did. I knew I was going to love Caroline and Richard right away, and yes, it sort of comes out of nowhere, but I have distinct memories of watching certain scenes when they first aired, like when Caroline and Richard are supposed to kiss on the movie set, and when she leaves the message on his answering machine and then Annie tells him about it at the airport, and then the series finale with Richard in the back of the church. I remember all of those. And yes, his hair has magical powers. There's a while in, like, season three where it's just TOO BIG, and then I'm not a giant fan of his giant sideburns, but most of the time he's got amazing hair. And he's totally hot
