You could do something similar to my hair, with a purple streak. It's easy to hide under a headband or scarf or hat. I've had mine for 8 years now.

If you can find a way over here, you can always snuggle with me... I mainly point it out because I'm in the need for a really good cuddle session too. Like you, I need physical touch but I rarely get it and it has been quite a long time since I've had a good cuddle (I think the last time was with you before christmas)
