Oh, man, I know. That's why I found it so ridiculous that TNT aired S1's episodes out of order. Thankfully, since I found it via TV Tropes, it informed me of that so I knew to watch them in the correct order. I can just imagine how bizarre the pacing must've seemed to the people watching them as they aired.
The continuing underlying theme of Nate's alcoholism/control issues in the second season was also done spectacularly well. The season finale especially was just all kinds of excellent.
I cannot wait for Leverage to return to me! ::clings:: I just love the team's chemistry. They're such a family! And it'll be good to have Sophie back now that Gina's had her baby.
I am in love with Leverage for all the reasons listed here and for one more: Parker has Asperger's (word of God and my own suspicions) and it's done right. She's also insane for other reasons, but her problems in the jury episode trying to get people to like her? Are totally believable because she just does not get how people work. There's a little bit of Parker in Summer.
Ah, yes, that too! Parker is my favorite character (followed closely by Elliot) so I agree entirely. ("I bought a plant. What does it do?" ILU Parker. And I have to agree about the relative necessity of owning plants.) The jury episode is one of my favorites for these reasons. (Also, the fortune teller episode. The team wanting to crush the dude for making Parker cry? Awwww.)
Do you follow the creator's blog? He's pretty awesome in his own right, I have to say.
I just rewatched the fortune-teller episode and it made me all happy. Especially the bit where Parker's all, "I want him to die. Can we make that happen?" and Eliot volunteers. Love it muchly.
Here! He does Q&A posts after each episode. (Though he's a little behind at the moment. Understandably, as he's in the middle of, you know, making the show. And he usually gets upwards of 100 to 200 questions. Ignore that, I just missed the latest Q&A post.) It's pretty cool.
