I've uploaded Little Voice and Careful Confessions by Sara Bareilles before, but never really explained what I loved about them, so I will do that today.

Her voice, first of all, is gorgeous, which is probably best expressed in Careful Confessions, but apparent no matter what. Second of all, her lyrics are beautiful, evocative, and the wordplay

Snagging Careful Confessions. Thank you! I already have Little Voice and just adore that album, especially "Between the Lines." She is so insanely talented.

This post reminded me to look into her background, and OMG, we went to the same college and she was only a year ahead of me. I probably passed her on campus many times and never even knew. Heck, we might have even shared classes. O_O For some reason, I had thought she was Canadian. ::laughs::

Man, she really is. Careful Confessions has a few of the same songs as Little Voice, as they were redone for LV. I tend to think they were better the first time; they're slower and richer, almost earthier, and I like it. "Come Round Soon" is one of them, and probably the one where I most prefer the CC version. "Fairytale" is another.
