On Tuesday night, as I was getting ready to go to bed, I noticed that there was a message on Facebook on my iPad. I have Messenger installed on my phone, and my phone is with me all day long, so I knew it was not from one of my friends. I opened it up. It appeared to be a message from my ex sister-in-law. It was somewhat cryptic - she addressed

Oh wow. That is horrifyingly sudden. Stories like that always make me feel like we're all walking on such uncertain ground, like quicksand or something. That is hard to hear news like that, especially someone you once loved, but had not had contact with for many years. I'm very sorry. Any and all feelings you have are valid.
