Free boat ride for three!!

We went to waterfire last night--not in Providence, but in our town. (Think the one in Providence minus all the fancy stuff and 90% of the fire.) It was pretty crowded out there last night, though--maybe they should make it into more of a Thing ( Read more... )

The thing that kills me is that I commented on that entry, and I have absolutely no recollection of either the entry or the comment. Damn, I was witty four years ago. I love how I had absolutely no idea what I had coming to me.

Hahahahaha! Who could possibly see the future back then, and what it would bring? I feel so non-witty lately, my brain feels like it has a thin layer of woolly fuzz coating it. I can't remember names, places, or things I did yesterday. I just want to be smart again. Where did the smart go?

HC and I took the baby for the last half hour or so of it. Totally magical. I wish I'd seen all the luminaries floating in the cove, though. We did get to hear Bob/Jon singing, though, which was lovely.

I think I heard Bob warming up, but then for some reason he abruptly stopped playing. We were there for the very beginning and then we went home. It was nice, though.

We'll definitely take the kids if they do it again. I hope they do.

It was so dark when we were there that I didn't even recognize Bob - it wasn't until the Sullivans sort of jumped out of the darkness at us that I realized who it had to be.
