Free boat ride for three!!
We went to waterfire last night--not in Providence, but in our town. (Think the one in Providence minus all the fancy stuff and 90% of the fire.) It was pretty crowded out there last night, though--maybe they should make it into more of a Thing.
Anyway, our friends let us take their rowboat out on the river during the festivities, and Dan of course rowed while Moira and I sat in the stern. I had to help Dan steer, but unfortunately I was getting the whole "my left your right" thing mixed up so our progress was slow at first.
Dan: See, Moira? You can either row with both oars at once or one at a time, like a bicycle.
Me: Or you can row into a bridge abutment.
Dan: *glances over his shoulder* Ah! You're supposed to be helping me steer! *corrects course*
Me: I thought I just did.
This is going on the list of things husbands and wives shouldn't do together.
