there's something in the water

Okay, the semi-sort-of hiatus was a total fluke. I can't get off LJ it's not even fair. >.<

Ask me how I did for the first week of exams! Actually, scratch that, don't ask me shit about it. I'm going to pretend that I don't know that I did horribly for the second History paper because I procrastinated the whole of yesterday. In my defence, I don't ( Read more... )

I, unfortunately, never had a lasting love affair with braids. But I could now, after seeing all these gorgeous pictures. Where did you find them all?

Braids and I don't generally get along- my hair is too thick/silky, so braids never last in my hair. But, your picspam? It makes me want to try braids out again... They're so pretty! *O*

Damn, I would kill for silkier hair, really. XD But thick and silky hair makes a nice mixed braid. Like the one where you tie three normal braids in your hair and braid them all together? 8D

Haha- trust me, it's not as great as it sounds. Whenever I tie my hair up, I always end up having to tie it up again within two hours; if I wear hair slides, they always end up falling off, etc. :P

Oooh- sounds interesting! I might try it if I ever have time! :D

Ahahaha, it takes me so long to tie my hair because it's all out of whack. I can't get my hair to actually stay in one place. XD

I adore braids. I wear my hair in one most of the time. When I was a little girl my friend Kelly mum had hair down to her waist and always wore it in a braid that’s when I feel in love with braids. I wanted my hair like that. I did it too I grew my hair to my bum then had to cut it all off :(
Now I almost always wear a braid.

Yay for braid love! ♥

I remember when I had my hair down to my bum too! =D Those were fun days. But I think I got tired braiding my hair then because it just wouldn't end. XD

So, I've recently been too poor to get my hair cut and so it's progressed from chin length bob to just past my shoulders and I put it into two French braids all the time. I love it.

I also blame braids, all sorts of them, on why I'm a lesbian. Seriously. So hot. All the time. It's like a fairy tale! But also with function! and style!

I wish I knew how to braid like some of those. I can braid alright because I taught myself when I got to college and everyone wanted to have their hair braided--so I learned. But I wish I could do the braids like the two pictures above the complicated ART hair. Ya know? Where they cut across your head and look like headbands or whatever? Gosh. I WANT. I WANT THEM ON ME AND I WANT THEM ON EVERY GIRL I SHAG.

OKAY BB. THE HEADBAND BRAID. I CAN DO THAT. You need to have long-ish hair for that grab a section of your hair from the side and braid your way across. As in you start with a normal braid and then you add on to each part of the braid by grabbing more little parts of hair and adding to the original braid. It takes a bit of practise hell of a lot of time working on it but you should be able to catch on if you already know how to braid. I KNOW IT SOUNDS ALL SORTS OF WEIRD. I CANNOT EXPLAIN THIS. IDK. Youtube a tutorial. And practise until it works because bb, HOT BRAIDS ARE WORTH ALL THE TIME.

^ I just reread that whole paragraph and realise that I DON'T MAKE SENSE. So you can just ignore that. XD

I was going to explain the headband braid for you, BB, but sarahyyy beat e to it! It's surprisingly easy once you get the hang of it, and it CAN BE DONE WITH SHORT HAIR YAY!

You should probably explain it again because omg even I<./i> can't understand that. XD

♥ Braids really are pretty. I've no patience to ever braid my own hair but when I was young, I loved it when my mom braided and played with my hair. :)

I've stopped braiding my hair all the time now because I don't have time to do it so often any more. But I would still braid them for anyone who would want me to do so because I really do enjoy doing it. =D
