It's funny... when I read your entries about blueberries and snow and bears it's suddenly so obvious how different your life is compared with my big town life. How often do I wish for some quiet without street noise and carsmoke?! Anyway... at least you have some blueberries although I'm not sure if your hurt ankle is worth the small amount of marmelade.
So... if a tourist would decide to travel to Alaska - what would you recommend for him/her? Are there some "must see"-things? I suppose there are a couple of typical nature things you need to see? And if you wanted to drive through the landscape it's best by car, isn't it? Are there some times you recommend for such a trip?
Oh my! What to do in AK. So many many things. Luckily a huge amount of things most people would want to see are very accessible by car. The only downfall is a lot of rental places don't want you to drive off the paved roads. So really the best thing is to know someone in Ak... which luckily you actually do. :D Plus the 'out of towner' rules don't apply when you are with a local! (As far as I'm concerned anyway

Thanks fot the tipps. I'm seriously considering Alaska for my vacation next year. But it's together on a list with Australia, New Zealand, Southafrika and a Antarktis Cruise. So not sure if it will happen in the end. *gg*
