Just saw some fear-mongering commercial by Merck about Shingles. I think the exact wording in their commercial was "Could I have Shingles living inside me?!"

Anyway, it was completely insane, so I had to go to the website and find out what the hell they were talking about

It really sounds like a movie ad or something, like that "Contagion" thing. Bizarre.

On their site they have an article talking about shingles:

From their bulleted list at the beginning of the article:

The chickenpox vaccine and the shingles vaccine for people over 60 can help prevent shingles.

Antiviral drugs, if started before blisters appear, can help relieve symptoms and help them resolve sooner, but pain relievers, including opioids, are often needed.

They are likely pimping some vaccine or antiviral drug in the end.
