I went to the Barrymores last night! For those of you who might not know, the Barrymores are like the Tonys for the Philadelphia theatre community. (If you still don't know, the Tonys are like the Oscars for Broadway.) My mother is driving me to insanity.  In case you don't know, she quit her job as an accountant to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher.  She had some trouble getting hired, but she starts in two weeks as a 4th, 5th, and 6th grade social studies teacher in Camden.  Camden's a rough town, but this school is in the nicer side of it and ( Read more... )

So, I'm leaving for Europe tonight.  We're leaving for the airport around 2pm, although our flight isn't until 6pm.  We're flying to Berlin, spending 5 days there, spending 4 days driving around Germany and the Czech Republic, then spending 5 days in Prague.  We get home on July 12th.  Our hotel in Berlin apparently has a computer with internet ( Read more... )
