Putorino to Napier to Palmerston North

When I woke up on March 29th, I was surprised to see that I was camped next to a lovely river... ah, the things you miss when you arrive in the dark! The morning sunshine was sifting through the trees, and its beauty motivated me to get up and tackle the 2km track down to the beach to see where the river met the ocean.

Trust me, it took a LONG time to even get those, and it was with a $400 f2 lens at ISO 3200! I was about ready to give up myself. :p

You have taken so many amazing pictures. I especially love the first picture at the top for exactly the reasons you stated. The sun coming through the trees is magnificent.
