Well, look what the cat dragged in... me! I have been so busy lately and I spend so much time on the computer as it is that any thoughts of updating this blog again have fallen by the wayside. Life back home is going a mile a minute. I successfully moved out to Kamloops, British Columbia in April, and ended up managing a guesthouse for the first

Ice climbing was fantastic, even though we did it in the rain -- a severe weather warning, in fact! What an experience to climb a vertical wall of ice with just ice picks and spikes on my feet! We are now in Queenstown -- adventure capital of the world. We're booked in for an adrenaline activity tomorrow, but I'm keeping it a secret til later

Greetings! I am now in Wellington! Well, near Wellington... Lower Hutt, to be exact, also known as "The Hutt" along with Upper Hutt, apparently. I do not see an abundance of huts, so I am not sure where this name came from. :p

Apologies for the unintended hiatus from blogging! I feel like I haven't had a spare moment since I returned to Canada. Don't feel like you have to comment for the sake of commenting though. :) I will let you know when I am back in high speed internet-land and then you guys can spam me with comments again! Comments

Well, I have successfully driven almost a full circle around the North Island (the big part of it, anyway!). I'm in Auckland now, staying with the only person in New Zealand who I knew (in Canada) before coming here. It's been two (three?) years since I've seen him

On February 18th, I spent the morning catching up on the blog and chatting with a Danish photographer I met (Erik). When I got a few posts up, we headed out to Kea Trail for a hike. The Kea is the world's only alpine parrot, and they are found throughout New Zealand. They are reknowned for their intelligence and curiosity (similar to Canada's
