God these photos make me want to go back! You're so good at capturing the essence of NZ. everything just looks DIFFERENT there, I don't know why. and I love the colour of the ocean.

Wow. These are really nice. I've not made it up that far yet, and I keep meaning to. A friend's parents live in Gisbourne and they have extended an open invitation to their bach/house. I hear it is just on top of the sand dunes.

you're a better one than I am ..... I read about those steps, and mentally crossed that lighthouse off my list.
I've not been to that part of Nth Island. maybe one day. the way prices are, it's cheaper for us to go there than it is to go to Melbourne!

Oh man. I haven't been to the ocean in... well since the summer. Last summer when we went I hadn't been to the ocean in almost two years, and when I finally saw the ocean, my grandmother, who I was on the trip with, pulled over, and when I got out, I found myself crying for joy. I do so love the ocean.
