Timaru and Oamaru

On February 14th, I left the farm to begin my self-exploration of the South Island by car. I had plans to meet an online friend, Mathew, in Timaru, about two hours south of Christchurch. ahh that all looks so fun! idk why, but i just had a feeling when i was reading through at first that mathew would be cute, and he is! I think the dog might win the cuteness award for this post though... so fluffy!!

"The Moeraki Boulders are a number of huge spherical stones, found strewn along a stretch of Koekohe Beach near Moeraki, a small settlement just south of Hampden on New Zealand's Otago coast. These boulders are grey-coloured septarian concretions which have been exposed through shoreline erosion from black mudstone coastal cliffs that back the beach. They originally formed in ancient sea floor sediments during the early Paleocene some 60 million years ago. "

Looks like heaven! Now I miss the beach more than ever. Will have to go visit my boy today for some lovin. They are shedding so badly that you come home covered. Perhaps I should collect it and build a horsehair rug!!
