I was "raised" as it were in the Norman-to-Gothic range, and for all my love of the frothy later-period stuff (including all that you do that's out of period entirely) I just don't think you can beat Gothic for pure clean elegance.

Beautifully done, and beautifully worn!

I have to admit, I'm getting a little bored with the 16th c. these days, so I'm falling back on my love for Gothic. Also, I've been having a hard time with corsets in the last couple of years (maybe because I've outgrown my current corset and I have a tendency to tight lace, so I'm always uncomfortable in them now) so Gothic has been a great compromise in terms of comfort but keeps the fabulous quotient high. ;)

And thank you!

Well, I got a close up view, and I have to say - your work is stunning! I especially liked how you handled the sleeves. They looked fabulous both in person and in pictures! Nice work! :-)

Thank you so much! I was the most worried about the sleeves, since I was flying by the seat of my pants with drafting them up and making sure they were going to fit them. At least with Alfar's outfit, Vyncent is basically the same size/height as him so I did a lot of the fitting using Vyncent as a stand in for Alfar. For Ketiley, it was harder, since I didn't have anyone readily available in her size/height, so I was working almost entirely from measurements. I haven't drafted relying solely on measurements in years (I typically drape these days) so I was worried right up until the final fitting whether or not her gown was going to fit her.

And it totally did! I was so stoked! Looks like I haven't lost my drafting touch after all! ;)

And congratulations yourself, btw. :)

Purty!

Of course I have a soft spot in my head for that High Gothic, Early Renaissance (depending on the area).
