I'm glad you and your family are safe. I've never experienced any heavy storm so I barely could imagine how bad it was when I heard the news. I live in a two seasons country near equator so there's no thing such Ike *and I'm not wishing for it*

But from the pictures you posted, I can imagine a bit. I hope things are getting better in a week *electricity, internet, gas, water, food supply*

Even through all that, you still get to see Supernatural! There's no disasters where I live yet our pathetic country won't show it!

It's so good to hear that you and your family are ok. The damage isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Living in Texas, I suppose this isn't the first time you've been through something like this right?
