But only temporarily. I'm currently at school, though not going to class, in order to get on the internet. I've got so much I want to say and do and I'm hoping I can get it done all today.

First of all *huggles* I love you guys. Your comments really helped me a lot. I'll try to be as through as I can.

Very long and picture heavy )

Ouch, I haven't been on LJ in while, sorry to here that you went through so much, thankfully no one was hurt, that's the important part. It's great that wasn't to much damage. That picture you took of the sunset is beautiful.

whoa~ O.O I'm lucky where I live (DFW) wasn't in the way of Ike. The only thing from Ike was raining and high winds and pretty much it.

I'm glad that you and your family is alright as well as your neighbors. It looks like you guys had fun with the barbecue and have everyone to come together and talk, discuss, relax a little bit after the storm.

All of the pictures that you took are great; it gives ppl the idea of what happened and the aftermath I'm just glad that it doesn't look like Galveston and Houston. That would be a nightmare for sure. The sunset photo is quite beautiful as well. ^^

Well, I hope that everything or almost everything will be settle next week(s).

I hope everything is well with your mom. best of luck! ^^

Sounds like a bad experience. I can't even imagine going through all of that. No one was hurt, and your house is okay so that's great. : ) Looking at the pictures makes me feel like I can see a bit of what happened - I had no clue before. I hope things get as normal as possible for your family and your town soon.

I can totally sympathise with your situation. Here in the Philippines we get rattled by typhoons all the time so power loss, damage to property, loss of cable, internet, telephone, water, loss of live, livelihood and whatever else - it's all normal stuff to us by now, but that doesn't make it less painful every time it happens. (There was one typhoon that cut all the branches on the trees on our neighborhood down and they were all on the roads - it was like being in a rainforest with all the water and the leaf smells.) You're lucky that you came out relatively unscathed. :D

Actually, I envy you because you've got a fast emergency response time. :( When disasters come here - the RedCross is very slow and ineffective, though it isn't their fault, it's the bureaucracy of the government here which slows it down. :(
