The smell of my dad's lunch is making me feel a bit sick to my stomach. I don't know what it is but I can smell it even here, in my bedroom, with the door closed. It's probably not a bad smell, but just the food smell. Ugh. I had 2 and a half donuts for breakfast. That could be why food doesn't sound like such a good idea. I haven't really felt ( Read more... )

Aw, don't worry. The type of relationships the media portrayed are beyond us ALL. I have yet to meet someone who is able to have a normal, loving relationship. Maybe as humans, we're being too pretentious with all this relationship junk. Possibly we should just get back to our primitive roots and only look to the other sex for reproductive purposes. It'd make things a hell of a lot easier for most of us.

my only thing is, i've never even had one of those relationships that's supposed to be about something other than sex. lol. the ones that are about sex aren't so bad but i at least want to have one that's more than that.

I really hate how almost every book I read. It always reminds me of how my relationships never work out. I always like it, though, when it doesn't work out for them. Or one of them dies, etc. In spite of myself, I always feel sort of better, since neither they or me had a happy relationship.

sometimes i like seeing books end happily. other times, i agree with you that it's more fun to read about stuff going really badly. it's more realistic anyway.

Tell me you are not using "Twilight" as your model...

Because I definitely have to agree, tv/books/etc. all have to do with that right now. Did you know there's even a TV show called "Find a Husband in 10 Weeks (or Die Trying)"?

Oh good, because if you do you'll be utterly confused by the fourth book, and suddenly catch onto all the feather jokes...

I think it helps to understand them if you look up the comment that the actor who plays Edward Cullen says, after reading them prior to filming. He basically states that it's somewhat like reading a married woman's sexual fantasy, entirely self-gratifying. Made him somewhat uncomfortable as he was the object of it, really!
