Prolly. I mean, it's not like they had google satellite to check things against or anything. In fact, apparently they were mapping areas that Europeans hadn't even reached yet based on texts that... shouldn't have had that information. For a WAG, South America really isn't that bad. North America's way off, but based on the article, a lot of maps of the time had North America as part of Asia, so I guess even that's an improvement.

Accurate? I'd hardly call that depiction of South America, let alone the world 'accurate'?
