I wanted this to be simple so I'm glad it came across that way. Because really, they love each other, it's as simple as that really when you boil it down.

This is a sweet ending, and the mockup of the book at the end throws us just enough of a bone in regards to their feelings for each other. It wasn't yet an appropriate time for them to go any further, especially the Doctor. I do think this story cries out for a sequel, though!
