A wet evening's ramblings

Oct 25, 2006 22:23

Today was (and still is) a wet day...gloriously so.  The kind that most people call "overcast", but it's not.  A day of mists everywhere, horizons disappearing in the fog.  Wet enough that you'd think it was raining, but there are no raindrops falling, just sprinkles.  If the air were a goblet, it would be overflowing, water dripping down the sides ( Read more... )

Jessica, I liked this post! There must be something special in rain, because every time you write a “rain post” your writing is especially elegant and beautiful. I hope it mists there again soon so you write another post!
Love ya

There was something delightful about this post, but I can't put my finger on anything specific. I had a very distinct L.M. Montgomery thrill feeling from the beginning, so of course that was timely when you mentioned pickig up some of her short stories :). She has some wonderful short stories! - and it's funny, because you can tell she adapted many of them for her novels :).

Thank you, Susan...for my writing to be termed "delightful" and the bringer of "a very distinct L.M. Montgomery thrill feeling" is, for me, one of the highest compliments you can pay! I'm glad you enjoyed the post...

And yes, you CAN tell that L.M. Montgomery adapted some of her short stories for her novels...but they're delightful anyway!

Thanks, Danya...I'm glad you enjoyed my blogs, they're usually updated much more frequently than they have been in the last couple months, but I've been so busy lately that I don't get around to blogging much anymore...it's sad. And you're right...I guess I am quite "quixotic"...it's a fun way to be!

I love that word "quixotic". No idea what it means, but I love it.

Jessica, just thought I'd say hello and let you know that we're all still alive. I hope that you're enjoying college. And try not to make it a whole month without posting!

What's your *other* site?
