I've been here almost a month and have come to the conclusion that New Zealand is the most gorgeous country I have ever seen.  The States has some beautiful places, as did Thailand, but it seems like almost every place in New Zealand that I've seen is beautiful.  And I'm so thankful...it's really hard for me to live in ugly places...ugliness hurts ( Read more... )

Last night, Mom and I watched the movie Miss Potter. It was a sweet little movie...not much "action" or suspense, just the story of a part of the life of the author and artist Beatrix Potter. And I greatly enjoyed it...which is high praise from me for a movie since there aren't many movies that I enjoy or that I think are worthy of watching again. A couple weeks ago, I first heard of the new movie, The Nativity Story. While working the library, I heard on the radio about this new movie and how in producing it they were trying to be faithful to the Gospel of Luke.
