Of books

Before today, I had never been "tagged" for a meme before...but no longer!  This morning, upon opening my Google Reader (a wonderful convenience!) to read any new posts on the blogs I subscribe to, I was delightfully surprised to see that John had tagged me with the "One book" meme!   He must've gleaned from my blog that I love books (now HOW could ( Read more... )

I understand how you feel about books! I also love to read! I love my Bible and Elsie books, Anne of Green Gables, older books! I'm glad you also like to read!

It's always nice to know that you've made someone's day. :)

Actually, I think the original rules stated that you couldn't have the Bible as an answer. ;) But I knew you'd list an interesting set of books...

"It's always nice to know that you've made someone's day."

Yes, it always is...and it really takes very little to make mine!

Hey, did you notice you've already been added to the List?

We just got home from camping a couple of hours ago! I tried to be original from yours and not put any of the same books on mine. That was hard cause you have my favorite Francine Rivers books on yours! (except for the Mark of the Lion Trilogy) Anyway, thanks for tagging me ( ... )

Welcome back...and we must be SALT Sisters or something and therefore have similar tastes in books...because you put on your list some books that I wanted to put on my list, but that whole just "one book" thing kept me from doing that...like The Veil...oh, that book is so good...!! And let me know what you think of Feminine Appeal...I've seen the title before and it looked interesting (and instructive?!)! *smiles* AND...great minds think alike...I was going to put one of The Purpose Driven books for my answer to #7, but I chose The Prayer of Jabez instead... AND...I really liked your answer to #6. So anyway...I need to go! After I get back home, we should talk!

I know I wasn't selected as the few, but I'm bored waiting for my friend to get out of class. I figured I'd give it a shot, put down the first thing that comes to mind- you know ( ... )

Wow...I never imagined you would fill that out! I would've chosen you as one of "the few", but I had thought that you hardly ever read my blog/LJ and so therefore it never would've gotten filled out... But thanks so much for filling it out anyway...I'm so glad you did...it was fun to read your answers. Isn't Caps for Sale that children's book about the man with all the caps and then the monkeys steal them while he sleeps? I read that one a couple times to the girls whilst in Florida. Is it your favorite chidren's book or something? And I agree that a perspective on Jesus' life by Mary Magdalene would be very interesting to read...or one by Mary of Bethany...she was such an amazing person...I'd love to know how to always choose "the good part". And good point about God's sovereignty over the Left Behind series...I need to remember that for other books like The Prayer of Jabez and The Purpose-Driven Life, etc. Isn't so nice to know a God who's in COMPLETE control of EVERYTHING ( ... )
