Of books

Before today, I had never been "tagged" for a meme before...but no longer!  This morning, upon opening my Google Reader (a wonderful convenience!) to read any new posts on the blogs I subscribe to, I was delightfully surprised to see that John had tagged me with the "One book" meme!   He must've gleaned from my blog that I love books (now HOW could he figure that out?!) and so helped make my day by tagging me.  BUT...the only problem is that it's "one book" and for me to choose just ONE book for anything (not including my Bible) is pretty close to impossible...but I did it, and chose just one for each category...thought mortals will never know how hard it was (especially for question two!)!   And...just to clarify, my Bible would be the answer to many of these, especially number one, but for variety's sake, I'm not going to list it for any of them...but just remember that is THE one Book!   So here goes...

1. One book that changed your life:
Decision-Making and the Will of God by Garry Friesen

2. One book that you've read more than once:
The Last Sin Eater by Francine Rivers

3. One book you'd want on a desert island:
Swiss Family Robinson by Johann Wyss

4. One book that made you laugh:
The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery

5. One book that made you cry:
The Atonement Child by Francine Rivers

6. One book that you wish had been written:
My Utmost for His Highest 2 by Oswald Chambers

7. One book that you wish had never been written:
The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce H. Wilkinson

8. One book you're currently reading:
Keep a Quiet Heart by Elisabeth Elliot

9. One book you've been meaning to read:
If by Amy Carmichael

10. Now tag four people:
Rachel K., Erin, Rebecca, Chelsea (for you three who don't have blogs...you can just leave your answers in the comments...thanks!)

And really...anyone else who wants to fill it out...I'd very much love to read your answers!  Just leave them in a comment or let me know if you fill it out on your blog...thanks!

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." ~James 1:17
