Also, I can't work out which is better, Fritz Lang Hero here, or the bathing tights. A close runner-up is second from the bottom right lady, who seems to have a crayfish embroidered on her bloomers.

There's a Bessie Smith song, Down in the Dumps, which has the following lyric:
When I woke up my pillow was wet with tears
Just one from that man o' mine seems like a thousand years
But I'm gonna straighten up, straighter than Andy Gump
Ain't no use of me tellin' that lie 'cause I'm down in the dumps
And I always sort of wondered who Andy Gump was. Now, having seen that last picture and having done a little Google search, I still don't quite understand the lyric, but I feel better-informed anyway.

The bathing tights are kind of a good idea! I keep meaning to take a dip in the ocean here, but am never quite sure how I'll manage to stay in very long with it being so cold. Maybe they'd be like a minimally-effectual wetsuit.
