(In which CHAOS has changed more than just the timeline.)

Cid gasped and doubled over, the bloody light of a broken Limit casting strange shadows in the gloom. Chaos hissed and drew back from the monster that had hit Cid in its death throes. The demon was used to this particular human’s Limit Breaks but this… this did not look like any of them. Watching warily as the light faded, Chaos blinked and cocked his head to one side. A roar shook the mountain clearing, giant wings unfolding with a crack of displaced air, leaving Chaos untouched and the human man… changed.

“Wrr?” Chaos landed on a nearby boulder, crouched like a curious gargoyle as he leaned in to get a better look.

Cid, or the demon that had been Cid, ignored Chaos’ antics in favour of examining its new skin and stretching out its wings. Where Chaos was a nightmare of shadows and blood, the Other was the shimmer of a desert mirage. A short blue mane and eyes that burned the same icy colour as gas-light. Gold skin and massive leathery wings that faded white and blue at the tips. In short, Cid had been replaced by a demon much like Chaos, wrought in lapis and gold rather than garnet and ebony.

Chaos crept forward, delighted by this turn of events. Another of the Jotunar! Saving Cid’s life was the best idea ever. The darker demon paused as the Other mantled gleaming wings and hissed as a warning not to approach too close.

‘Who are you then, pretty one?’ Chaos kept his attention firmly fixed on the other. Purring reassurance of his peaceful intentions, Chaos blinked in slow satisfaction as the gold and blue wings relaxed and lowered in to a less aggressive pose.

‘I am called Omen.’ The other demon grudgingly granted Chaos the impression of tidings and portents, the warning signs and patterns of relativity that hinted of the coming future. Wanting to be polite, Chaos provided the other with his own disconnected whirl of singularity and shatter points, creation and destruction in an endless reel, the antithesis of stagnation. The other turned his head to eye Chaos sidelong in appraisal, wings lifting to feel the evening breeze. ‘The wind is calling to us. Shall we fly?’

‘Let us fly.’ Chaos flared his wings to their fullest extension, preening in justified pride when he caught Omen’s admiring gaze running over the sharp curves of the knuckle spines. Launching into the air, Chaos climbed quickly with strong beats of his wings. The dark demon had a healthy respect for unpredictable mountain air currents. In this case, higher was better. Omen was quick to follow Chaos into the sky. Perhaps not quite as fast, and not quite as smoothly, but still with an undeniable grace. Omen was just-born, but he still flew very well. Chaos purred and ignored the faint protests of his human half as he wheeled around and dove at Omen.

Anyone watching from the ground would have been confused by the sudden turnaround. The two winged demons had been flying together quite peacefully until the larger one in the lead had swung around to attack the second demon. They just barely avoided a midair collision, the darker demon taking a swipe at one gold wing as he passed. What followed was a strange display of aerial acrobatics stunts and the occasional high speed chicken match. It would be very confusing indeed, unless the hypothetical observer in question knew how some flight capable creatures went about courting. In that case, they would know exactly what Chaos was up to.

Chaos caught up to Omen at the peak of a climb, grappling with the smaller Jotun briefly until he could hook and grip gold wings with dark wing-spines. Trapped, Omen squirmed in Chaos’ hold. The darker being buried his nose in blue hair behind a pointed golden ear, breathing in the scent of lust and acceptance. Omen purred in pleased counterpoint to Chaos’ own satisfied rumble.

Bodies pressed close as they drifted closer to the ground, Chaos pulled on Omen and growled, crimson-gold eyes rolling back in startled pleasure. Omen keened, a new cry escaping as every small adjustment drove Chaos that much deeper. Chaos bit Omen’s shoulder, hips moving without his direction, grinding deep and deeper. Omen arched into the hold, squirming closer and panting in gasping breaths.

This mating was a first for both of them. Chaos jerked, feeling his flesh swell further, held tight by Omen’s heat. The knot locked them together, and Chaos managed to force awareness enough to land. The shock and force jarred a scream from Omen, and Chaos shoved the other to his knees. Leverage was a good thing. Braced against the ground, Chaos could put force behind his movements. Omen shrieked, hips pulled up as Chaos pounded into him with short, hard jabs. Each thrust moved the knot, swelling larger until Omen started shaking. The smaller demon jerked helplessly, spilling his release into the dirt. Chaos roared as Omen went limp under him, spilling wet and burning into the tight clutch of Omen’s trembling flesh.

They tumbled to the side, wings and limbs tangled together, still locked together with spent passion. Chaos purred, nuzzling Omen’s cheek and delighted when the other demon huffed and licked him back. Without bothering to move apart, they curled together and fell asleep, content and satiated and altogether far too pleased with themselves.

CHAOS. CHAOS... please tell me that you didn't fuck the timeline upside down and sideways just so that you could get your end away. Damn it, CHAOS, I had a plan! It was a good plan! Why are you trying to fuck with the plan? Get back in your box. Shoo. Shoo! You and OMEN can play pat-a-cake later. During exposition chapters. I really wasn't planning on porn tonight. Especially not really... blah porn. It's got knotting and midair coitus and it still kind comes across to me as just... meh. I've done better.

Anyway, was planning on getting this post done an hour ago, but got distracted. Hope ya'll like.

Got a shipment from a new clothing line at work today, so I got to spend my day steaming cashmere sweaters instead of playing around on the computer. Curse my luck. Oh, well. I'll be able to play more tomorrow. XP
