One of the worst things to happen to X-Men fandom was the rampant pro-Wolverine craze of the 2000s that rewrote the characterizations for everyone else so badly. What they did to Scott was the most deplorable. He was an orphaned blind teenager who lived on the streets for anywhere from 4 months to 4 years, depending on various canons, and was either a thief and/or a hustler (re: prostitute) to survive that time. A unprivileged boy survived a hell of a crappy youth to grow up to be a smart (math, not English! ::shakes fist at movieverse::) teacher, a strong leader, a beloved surrogate son, and a loving husband. Heck, back then, even Logan respected him. May not necessarily have liked him, but certainly trusted him and willingly followed his orders. There was mutual respect between them, not the ruthless ( ... )

There is nothing I can add to this. You have said everything I have been complaining about since the first X-Men movie came out. (I cried so hard at X3. Why? Why kill him? Motherfuckers, he's the goddamned HEIR APPARENT!! *dissolves into rage*)
I'm certainly having fun writing the next part. XP Oh, I'm so mean to my characters. Can you hear that? That is the sound of fragile delusions being cruelly crushed beneath the steel-toed combat boot of wake up and smell the hypocrisy. I am Not Nice to typecast characters. Nope. <3
Never fear, Rings-verse is as always taking up a significant chunk of my writing time.

The flower garden is really, really fun. I'm going to be so disappointed when the event finishes.
