"‘Shut up and deal’ was practically a second religion by this point."

Actually, I think that sentence sums up the whole story up to this point in time. And for some time afterwards, too. Right now, though, it seems like they were in a Catch-22 situation, but made the best choice they could.

I'm assuming this is the first part in the Earth installment of this story?

Hee~ I've always been fond of characters who don't whine too much about what the plot puts them through. ♥

Yeah, Earth covers all the action that happens from the launch of the Ark and Nemesis up until the Decepticons leave Earth to take back control of Cybertron.

Shut up and deal, huh?
Fitting, but I think "Shut up, deal and wait for the opportunity to strike back" fits almost better. But then again, that's too long for a good motto ^.~

Wow, the Seekers really are dependant on the Winglords. Or at least they could be should their will to fight even without them by their sides falter for just one moment.
Guess that's another point against a Winglord Prime.
It's worse enough that the Autobots are likely to do very stupid things for Optimus. (I mean, it's cool how devoted they are and how much they like and approve of him, but still, it has the potential to cloud their judgement in critical times even if it didn't happen so far)
I don't want to even imagine what would happen if a Winglord Prime would got hit. Instant mindless rage or panic could follow, should the Winglord not be able to control his troops and their emotions over the windbond.

(Yes, the concept fascinates me and I like what-ifs. Shut up and deal wit it? ^.~)

Well, at least they can still be sure that their Lords are alive.BR

Well, "dealing" with the problem in Seeker-speak kinda implies that they... dealt with it. XP

Yeah. Cybertronians as a race have a kinda... default fanaticism when it comes to their leaders. Mm hm.

Exactly.

yet another new to me one I stumbled across, and when they mentioned they were going to look for Cybertronian signals, Beast Wars popped in my head.

Heh... well that could be awkward, except!
1. The Vox interfere
2. The Maximals keep sending signals through a temporal-warp tunnel (the signals go to future!Cybertron instead)
3. The Great War ends in a totally different way in this continuity!

And I have a BW/G1 continuity fic plotted out for after I finish Rings. XP

BW is hilarious. And Rattrap is apparently Arcee's great-nephew.
