I've been pondering a type of people. You know... The type that you constantly have to get in contact with if you want to talk with them or see them, because phones/internet/etc. only go one way? One of the reasons I'll be happy to get out of this town is that I feel like everybody I know is like this. Nobody seems to be willing to go the extra mile - or any miles at all - to meet me halfway. I'm always the one giving, whether it be advice or anything else.

Yeah. Before I left Phoenix, that was pretty much where I was, with the exception of one person.

You get to a point where it's like..."Might as well start over and see if something new happens."

Here in the Nashville area, the only person I've made a close connection with is the husband. I've had good hang-out acquaintances who border the friendship line now and again. But the miles lack.

I'd like to say I don't really care at this point. But since I'm posting about it, I must care a little... :\

Funny that you posted this- I came to similar conclusions this year. I realized I was feeling guilt about letting some relationships lapse until I tallied up who was calling who.

Sad to think some people can't be bothered to do their share, but a secret relief to be able to relax without burdening myself unequally. We're all big kids now, and phones dial out, too!
