well, i'm in california right now...my grandfather died unexpectedly this weekend. He went in for a routine easy outpatient heart surgery and had a heart attack on the table. They did several bypasses, but he didn't make it. I flew out right away to help my mom. Its pretty sad. He was 78. I always thought of him as my "crazy" grandfather. He kinda ( Read more... )

i'm home for spring break right now and i'm having an awesome time. Mom has been feeding me WONDERFUL food - we ate at a bunch of my fave restaurants - a veggie place called cafe sunflower, the flying biscuit cafe, caprese (best pasta i've had since italy), bahama breeze, chipotle....the list goes on and on. i just watched austin city limits on pbs. the shins and the flaming lips were on. the shins were great and so were the flaming lips, suprisingly (they arent one of my faves, but they put on a killer show! lots of people in animal costumes, big balloons exploding etc.) anyways, it was a good midnight start to my christmas. my christmas eve was good ( Read more... )
