It all seems a bit surreal. I kinda can't believe that Scott and I will be married soon.

The planning is all done, now just to finalize paperwork for the venue and clean like a madwoman!

Heading back up to Philly this afternoon for another long weekend...it seems like 1 pm can't come quickly enough. Or 5 pm, so I can be done with driving and be at 's...probably taking a nap. :P

So I put in my order for my cap and gown today...

I feel the impending (and really, just more formal) end to an era. :P

It is kinda odd. Every time I have gone downstairs in the evening, my roommate is crashed out on the couch. I'm always so afraid I'll wake him up...and even when I have, he doesn't go upstairs to sleep on the far more comfortable bed.

I think he really misses Crystal (his wife and my other roommate, who deployed to Iraq earlier this year).

Coming from a downer in receiving no positive response (when response was received at all) from the Federal side, I decided to take a look at the private sector to bulk up in my experience. So, I had the opportunity to drive up to New York for the holiday, but unfortunately, the planning came too late and I had to make sure I could get the rent in before the 1st...and the roommates just got in early this afternoon after 4 of their flights were canceled. Money is a bit tighter than I'd like. That and the fact that I haven't heard a thing from either of my roommates in about a week and a half, I am really anxious.
