please review with kind words.
chapter 2 Aki began to grow disillusioned as more time passed and there was still no sign of Hitsugi, even though the food was almost done. He finally heard movement from the living room and for the life of him he couldn’t understand why he was so giddy all of a sudden.
“Tsugi-kun?” Aki called out and steps faltered outside the kitchen door before hey completely bypassed the kitchen and moments later, Aki heard the front door close.
He was confused, beyond hurt, and an incredible sadness swept over him. Why would Hitsugi leave like that? Without saying anything? Without at least saying goodbye? And on their special night.
Surely Hitsugi hadn’t forgotten, could he?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hitsugi needed to get out of there. He’d decided that about ten minutes ago yet his body wasn’t moving and his butt stayed rooted to the couch, listening to the familiar sounds of Aki puttering around in the kitchen. The domesticity of it all was something that even though he loved it, it cut him deep and he didn’t think he could take another minute of it all, much less another year.
He had to leave now, before he did or said something that would ruin his decade long friendship with Aki. He walked past the door and almost stopped at Aki’s voice calling his name-almost succumbed to that sweet voice, almost confessed everything at the sound of his name, knowing that he wanted Aki saying his name in another manner.
Taking a deep breath he braced himself and bit his lip, forcing his legs to move past the kitchen and out the door. Away from the one person that truly made him happy. But this was for the best.
If he didn’t say anything-not even goodbye-then he couldn’t blurt out the three words that he’d been screaming in his head for so long.
