Thanks! Yes, this is the saddest story I've written and the only one without a clear happy ending. In my mind they make it, but it's not set. Only the past is set.

Thanks. I had to fight myself every step of the way and my beta still saddened up the ending even more :) I'm glad you thought it worked. I can say this much -- not gonna try another backward story again in a long time. Very challenging.
