Ok, so I'm reading two books right now... Silent Thunder by Iris Johansen and Roy Johansen and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. What's everyone reading these days?
All three of the books I've recently read have been made into movies! (I always watch the movies first, and then read the books. People who read the books first always seem to be disappointed by the movies.)
A Time To Kill by John Grisham -- this was John Grisham's first book, and you could tell! It is waaaaay too wordy. The novel has 44 chapters, and the action doesn't pick up until chapter 25! The movie (with Matthew McConaughey and Samuel L. Jackson) is much more powerful.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares. Surprisingly emotional and with a lot of heart. Better than the first movie for sure. (But be sure to check out the movie's sequel which is wonderful.)
The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. IT'S A TIE! The movie and book are both incredibly fun and entertaining. :-)
Usually, I read the books and vow not to see the movies! lol
I haven't read A Time To Kill but I'm not sure if I could make it through 25 chapters before it gets good!
I would like to read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants but I usually read what books my mother gives to me and they are typically lawyer books and murder mysteries. Books my husband suggests are typically fantasy. I like both. I should get to the library!
I have actually seen The Princess Diaries movies and I have liked them. Now I want to read the book!
I've read The Notebook but haven't seen the movie. Not interested in the movie. I've read the The Twilight books too but have no interest in the movies. The people in my head are way better looking than the people who play the characters in the movies so no thanks! lol
I like all kinds of book but I enjoy murder mystery novels the most. I'd like to read all the Sherlock Holmes book and a friend's advised me to read the Millenium series. I also would like to read some Lovecraft books. I have only one from this author and it's really great.
