Bindis and Gurus
I've had a few questions I've been meaning to ask for a while over here, so thank you very much for indulging me!
Firstly, I have a birthday party to attend this Sat that will consist primarily of LDS in-laws (that is to say, Mormon) and I haven't been to one of these in a long time. Certainly not since I started wearing a bindi on a regular basis, which I now feel rather naked without. I certainly don't mind explaining, and I know that a minimum of 3 people I can think of off the top of my head will ask what it is and what it means... but I also know they'll be hoping for a much shorter explanation than I can typically come up with, because there's so many interpretations of the bindi's meaning etc. So I've been wondering how best to simply explain for someone who is only very mildly curious.
I've also been thinking a lot about Gurus, and been feeling drawn to Shree Maa but confused about different perceptions of the role of the guru etc. So here's a small poll I'd really appreciate some contributions too. (the first question before Sat in particular!)
