Happy Birthday !

Today, Iella is one year old :) She's celebrated by bringing me a ball to throw for her, curling up for a nap in the bathroom sink, and growling at the postman.

I'm guessing that she may be looking for her sense of dignity, which she's just dropped. ;-)

Actually, I think she was asleep. Much as she likes a headrest, she's also happy to sleep with legs/tail/head dangling off the edges of things.

What a lovely birthday girl! Does she often curl up in the handbasin? I've known cats who do that, but mine never have except for the time I left a duvet cover in the laundry sink.

She's always liked the basin, but seems to spend more time there now. All those photos are at least a couple of months old now. I took a lovely one of her in the sink on the day of her birthday, but the phone software has got increasingly glitchy, and I couldn't upload anything when I tried yesterday.

She also climbs into the sink and scrabbles away at the side with her front paws in short bursts. I have no idea what she thinks she's doing. She just scrapes away, rather in the way she digs holes in her litter.
