traffic question

hey all -

i am in encinitas, and need to be in vista by 8am tomorrow morning. anyone know what the traffic's like? tips and tricks/shortcuts?

i used to make that drive all the time. you won't hit any traffic going north on the I-5 and then east on the 78 or 76.

if you're going to the eastern part of vista/san marcos...then there's a shortcut. you could take Rancho Santa Fe Road (same street as Leucadia Blvd)...and it will take you from the I-5 to the 78 in about 20 minutes. but you definitely will be in san marcos if you take that route. so jump on the 78 west if you need to go to sycamore or vista village drive.

thanks for the advice. mapquest says it'll take 20 mins, but i'll give myself an hour just in case, as this is really important :)

i'll be going to the vista courthouse on melrose, i don't know if that's the eastern or western part of what, but thanks for the shortcut tips!
