Zombie Walk Anyone?

I'm putting together a zombiewalk somewhere in San Diego on the evening of June 30th (a Saturday / full moon).

Awesome. I'm very interested, but is there some cause we will be "walking" for? What is the required dress? I'm a HUGE zombie fan, but I've never dressed up as one. Will there be someone doing makeup, or is it BYOMU?

I'll be bringing a makeup kit to do minor makeup for some people or help those who have makeup and/or prosthetics and want help. For costumes, it's best to make a trip to a cheap thrift store and pick out something that looks like it might be comfortable for wearing for a few hours at night (ie; warm and fairly loose). Shread it and use fake blood to accessorize. You can always buy regular prosthetics and makeup off the internet at any time. This place has a good selection of inexpensive special make-up effects.

If you don't know how to apply makeup or want help, bring it with you and show up early, as I'm pretty good with it and I'm sure that other people would be willing to help, as well. Don't be overwhelmed... keep it simple the first time, if need be. You may get ideas for future walks from other people at the first one.

There won't be a cause we're walking for, as that's really difficult to organize and we'd have to deal with doing tax information, etc. Maybe in the future, but this first one is just for fun.

I'm really interested, but gay prom is that night and I can't go to gay prom all zombie dressed.

by which i mean, move it to the day before or after!! I command it!!

I could get you at least three extra zombies who wouldn't be able to come cause of gay prom. promise.

I picked the date because it's a Saturday and most people can make it that date (including several people from the Los Angeles/Orange County area that I've talked to) and it's a full moon that night. Judging by the response, this may become something we do regularly, so if not this time, next time? :)
