Friends only.

I'm not doing this because I don't want to make friends; there are just some people out there that I'd rather not have reading my stuff, if you know what I mean.

But I like friends! :) Leave me a comment if you want to read along, yeah?

There might be, but I'm not sure. :( I had to do this, though, because my journal was showing up in all kinds of places where it had no right to be, and I was getting weird anonymous comments (not from you!!) that made me really uncomfortable. Stupid internet. If I figure out a way that you can read from your Blogger account, I will let you know!! <3

Sure, I'll friend you too! :) Tandem is super-popular here in Germany, and I was always really glad I did it - I've met some really great people!

Turkey, wow! :D I've never been, but my mom was there last spring and said it's amazing. What are you up to there? I've been kind of fascinated by Turkish culture since moving to Berlin...probably because I don't understand it at all. But Berlin is the third-largest Turkish city in the world, so I plan on learning! :D I'm thinking about picking up night classes in Turkish as soon as I have a full-time job here - it seems like a pretty cool language.

Nice to meet you!

Hehehe that's EXACTLY what I mean! :D Heh I'm sort of a language masochist. I took Japanese and German at the same time, and while Japanese grammar isn't bad at all, the politeness forms and the thousands of Chinese characters you have to learn tend to be murder on the ol' brain. But since my Japanese is pretty useless here, I thought it would be fun to learn some Turkish so I can talk to the people in my neighborhood (I live in one of the largest Turkish districts in Berlin and all the stores are owned by Turkish people). I'm sure I'll never get to a point where I'm fluent or anything, but it'd be awesome to be able to be like, "hey, how's it goin', guys?" in Turkish and surprise the guys at my favorite shop. :D

I'm glad you added me - I've skimmed your journal and I love your writing style! :D

i love reading your entries. hopefully i'm still on your list. i'll move over to the states at the end of this year, so reading your entries will just sort of keep me informed of what's happening here, through your eyes. =)
