Hooray for DD Give three cheers and then some. She had her first competition today at the gymnastics club and won GOLD in her class. She got a proper medal and a chance to stand on a podium and grin like you've never seen. Mr wol has pictures and will link when he uploads them. Lord but I was nervous. Sorry about the norovirus - I wondered if you were poorly, or possibly your computer, as I'd not seen you around. I'm sorry it was you and DD - although, on the bright side, you are probably less expensive to repair than a bugger-up computer would be!

you are probably less expensive to repair than a bugger-up computer would be Don't know. It is 50 euro a time for a GP visit here and just spent 120 euro on regular drugs. Don't knock the NHS!

We are still free to go, although they have thought of introducing a charge - at around £5 or so... and our prescription charges are still £3.25. Although things may have to change as our little NHS is a bit cash strapped; the UK government decided last year to unilaterally 'renegotiate' the way VAT paid by Manx residents and companies to UK companies is shared out between the two countries - so gaining them an extra 0.005% or so of their total income and losing our government about 20% or so of ours.
