Got a little misty eyed. Davy/Calypso has ALWAYS been one of my favorite pairings, and you portrayed it very well. So tragic! :(

I'm really glad you liked this! I know you like Davy/Calypso, and I'm happy you think I did it justice. *cuddles*

You've captured a lot of passion in your first paragraph. It really drew me into the story, and you've ended with such a strong closing - successfully showing how Calypso was truly as unpredictable as the sea.
Favorite passage: "No tears were shed as the Dutchman disappeared in a flash of green. He hadn’t expected it of her-she was not prone to melancholy. She was strong, beautiful, fiery…she was perfection. And she was his. Willingly he sailed into the unknown simply because she had bid him to do so."
Beautifully written, and I can really sense how much he cared for her in this!
Great job love!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment!
Part of this whole exercise was to write new (to me)pairings/characters, so I'm really excited that you think I did well with them!

"her hips rising to meet his thrusts like the swell of a wave lapping against the hull of a ship" I adored this, I'm such a sucker for sea/ship metaphors :P
And the ending was brilliant. Full with the lack of emotions (and I'm not sure anyone will understand what I mean but I'll just leave it unexplained, lol)

And I totally do understand what you were saying re: full w/ the lack of emotions--I think you nailed what I was going for (even though I can't exactly explain it either), but I think we're on the same page!
Thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed.

Nice start with your meme! Look forward to seeing what else you come up with.

And I seriously thought about having Jack be the sailor, but then I realized that I couldn't figure out the timeline--I think she would have betrayed Davy years and years and years before Jack, but I wasn't sure, so I went with a random sailor. Glad it worked *g*
