DJ100 Flash Fanworks-Athon: PROMPT ME, BABY

Nov 21, 2007 22:14

Edit: prompt collecting is closed! I'm rounding them up now, and putting together instructions, and the claiming post will go up later tonight. Thanks, lovelies, these are fanTAStic.

Prompts Post is up, CLICK HERE to start claiming!

How This Puppy's Going To Work (yes, I'm laying out the whole thing even though this post is only for collecting prompts):

- Step 1: This is the prompts post: I'm collecting prompts right here. See below for details.

- Step 2: On Saturday, December 1st, I'll collect up all the prompts and make a post with a complete list. People will get to claim prompts via comment to that post (extra logistics to be tackled when I actually post this step, but once I do I'll try to keep the list itself updated with claims as we go, so it's easy to tell which prompts are still available. Claims can be made right up until the 'thon ends).

- Step 3: Once we're through the steps above, people get to post their submissions straight to the community (or to their journals, so long as there's a post to the comm with a link for us to follow), with Demon Jesus 100 included in the subject line (and a header with at minimum Title, Author/Artist/Etc., Rating and any applicable Pairings listed).

- The 'thon will close on January 6th (which is Epiphany on the church calendar, just to add to the blasphemy of it all), and I'll round up all submissions into one big, beautiful, consolidated post of celebratory doom. Otherwise known as the Demon Jesus 100 Master List.

What Goes?:

- Anything. Whatever prompt you claim, you can use it to inspire pretty much anything under the sun. Fic is, of course, fair game. So is art of any kind (e.g. icons, photo-manipulations, drawings, graphics, etc.). Want to write a song or a haiku? That's cool, too. Vids? Sure. What I'm saying here is, pretty much anything goes. If you can fathom posting it to sammessiah, it satisfies for the fanworks-athon, too.

- The comm's usual rules for using a cut (or fake cut) will apply to 'thon submissions, because even crack shouldn't break friends pages. (Said rules are that all fic/long posts and spoilers should be below a cut. Icon posts and graphics more than 200 pixels wide/tall should also be cut, but samples and thumbnails above the cut are fine).

- If submitting fic, it should be over 100 words. No upper limit. If submitting anything else, I can't think of a single limitation that oughta hold you. Oh, except that anything Not-Work-Safe should be behind a cut with a warning, but that kinda goes without saying (except I totally said it... shh).

This Post: What to do with your prompts

- Submit prompts in the comments. Aside from the requirement that our Demon Jesus and/or his Beloved Consort be at least tangentially related to the theme of your prompt, anything goes. Blasphemy, crack, angst, wincest, humor, prophecy... you name it.

- Please keep prompts clear of any spoilers for un-aired episodes. Anything that has already aired is fair game, and please be warned that if you're behind you should approach the prompts/comments with caution (I'll try to post them with some order so that people who aren't up to date can still participate without being spoiled).

- Remember that this is a general fanworks-athon and not limited solely to fic. This isn't meant to restrain prompts in any way, or keep anyone from submitting prompts that can only be executed via fic. Just something to keep in mind, in the hopes of having a corner for everyone to play in.

- Go ahead and submit prompts even if you're not sure you'll be able to come back and claim one. Likewise, you don't have to have submitted a prompt to subsequently lay claim. All are welcome to play, however they can.

- Prompts can be as vague or specific as you like. Two words to set a mood? Spiff. A detailed fic scenario or image? Also perfectly welcome. The goal is inspiration. Hit us with whatever you've got.

Demon Jesus Bonus Points (redeemable at a Hellgate near you) for pimping the life out of this sucker.

Eta: These look AWESOME, guys. Keep 'em coming. Oh lordy keep 'em coming. Submissions are closed now, keep your eyes open for the impending post!
