It was actually such_heights that brought this up, and now I can't stop thinking about it. Why doesn't His Dark Materials have an active online fanbase? I have no idea. And it bugs me alot. I want to go to a comm where there is squeeing and fandom-y stuff but there isn't anywhere :(

Although (after encouragment from an eljay friend) I have made a marisa/asriel comm but it still needs a layout. But i'm lazy and made of photoshop suck atm.

*jumps up and down excitedly* Pick me, oh pick me! :D HDM deserves to be freakin' huge. Well, my contribution to the cause will hopefully go up later this evening as I write a pimping post for smallfandomfest contemplating this very phenomenon. I propose gathering people together for some kind of challenge or exchange, maybe? To remind people that this is a hella awesome fandom to write for/icon/draw for etc.

That sounds good. We could have a comm with fic contests, icon contests, news, stuff like that? Want to do it together?

The fans are hiding in the same place as the online Sherlockians. All of them I've met in person (my dad was big into the fandom for a bit) are scary old men. :(
